Founding Member & Partner

Kamrul Islam Arif is a founding partner of Lexmates, bringing to the firm a distinctive blend of financial expertise and legal acumen that sets him apart in the fields of taxation, corporate compliance and commercial litigation.

He holds a Master’s in Accounting from the National University of Bangladesh and is a Chartered Accountant (CC), complemented by an LL.B. from the Department of Law and Justice at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology. This dual grounding in finance and law gives him an unusually sharp eye for matters where the two disciplines intersect.

Before co-founding Lexmates, Mr. Arif spent over five years at a reputed chartered accountancy firm, building hands-on expertise in financial advisory and compliance. He handles suits and cases across civil and criminal matters, and is a registered member of the Dhaka Bar Association and the Dhaka Taxes Bar Association.
